Malang Bayo is a master dancer, choreographer and former member of the National Ballet of Senegal. His entire career has been devoted to teaching the art of African song and dance. Malang's passion for his african culture is conveyed in his open enthusiasm and his ability to teach students at all levels of experience. In addition to his extensive dance experience he is also an accomplished singer and drummer. He is well versed in the folklore and dance of the Wolof, Mandinka, Djola, and Bambara people of Senegal. Rarely will you find within a single individual such an extensive understanding of the West African regions and its people.

Through hard work, perseverance, talent, and a contagious love of his work, he has earned the opportunity to perform with many well-known artists including the Rolling Stones, Judy Mowatt and Ziggy Marley and the Melody Makers. Malang's qualifications and experience are extensive:
- Ballet fore Sacre, 1984.
- Great Ballet D'Afrique Noir of Mansour Gueye, 1985-1986.
- National Ballet of Senegal, 1986-1988.
- Seoul Korea Olympic Games, 1988.

His own performance company, Mussukeba Sane West African Ballet was founded in 1992. His company performed West African dance and song throughout Southern California in various celebrations and festivals such as the African Marketplace, and within the film industry. In keeping with his commitment to education, Malang and his company regularly perform lectures and demonstrations for schools and colleges.

Aside from his work with Mussukeba Sane, he has also taught and performed in a variety of colleges and universities, camps, and dance and drum conferences across the country. He has also provided choreography for several dance companies, including Silimbo D'Adeane West African Dance company in Boston, Maimouna Keita School of African Dance in New York, and Teye' Sa Thiossanne African Dance Company in San Diego.

Malang has also made many cameo apperances in film and television, including:

- Poetic Justice

- African American Collegiate Beauty Pageant

Amongst all of his accomplishments, Malang's greatest virtue still lies in his very organic ability to gain the trust and respect of his associates. And it is his genuine enthusiasm for teaching those who wish to learn the historical and spiritual art of African song and dance that make him a natural choice to those who seek a deeper understanding of this rich and beautiful culture.
